What is YSAC? Charge

The Youth Services Advisory Committe (YSAC) is committee of the State Library Commission. While not one of the four (4) state mandated committes, the Commission has regularly created the Youth Servcies Advisory Committee to recommend plans, programs, and priorities for the youth being served by public libraries.

 

YSAC Charge

Review the current strategic plan for youth services and recommend updates and changes, include in the review all the State Library’s current youth services programs with recommendations for strengths and changes needed.

 

Members

The Youth Services Advisory Committe (YSAC)  is comprised of a group of professonal and para-professional librarians who have knowledge and an interest in creating and maintaining "best practices" in serving youth in public libraries across North Carolina.
